I am currently offering supervision to provisional psychologists as well as to individuals who are looking to become certifed or registered play therapists (in Canada and in the United States). I am a Certified Child Play Therapist Supervisor with the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy (CACPT) in Canada and with the Association for Play Therapy Association (APT) in the United States. I specialize in Play Therapy with preschool and school-aged children, Family Therapy, Individual Therapy with adolescents and adults, and Sandplay Therapy.
I completed my Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of Alberta in 2007, and have also completed additional training in Play Therapy and Sandplay Therapy with the Canadian Association for Child and Play Therapy (CACPT), The Play Therapy Institute of Colorado and with the Canadian Association for Sandplay Therapy (CAST). I have also completed additional training in Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) and Theraplay, as well as Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
I really enjoy working with students and have found different ways to incorporate play, art, and sandplay into the supervision process. I have found this that this has provided the supervisees with more insight into their cases as well as into themselves as therapists.
